Physician Testimonials
As a physician who practiced for more than 40 years, it wasn’t until I underwent the prostatectomy myself that I understood the importance of pelvic floor therapists.
– Dr. S MD, FACP
I am an MD. Any surgeon’s office that does a substantial amount of prostate surgery will emphasize the enormous importance of doing pre-op and post-op pelvic floor rehabilitation
– Dr. B
I was thinking ‘How could physical therapy help my stress incontinence? This must be a scam.’ How wrong I was!
My therapist was extremely professional and explained every procedure and exercise in detail so that I was comfortable – and more importantly, so I understood the mechanics of all of the muscles and the resulting issues.
I have seen a remarkable improvement and can now enjoy simple things like taking a walk and laughing without embarrassment. It feels good to exercise again, too!
Words can’t express my appreciation for helping to get my life back to normal! My only regret is that I didn’t find you sooner!”
— G.D.
I had been avoiding yoga and other activities I enjoy for years due to various embarrassing issues since having 2 complicated pregnancies – 1 of which blessed me with a set of twins.
I had a reconstructive surgery to avoid an early hysterectomy. Post-op, things were still not great, but as women we often don’t discuss these types of issues.
My gynecologist suggested pelvic floor physical therapy as a potential solution. Since completing my therapy, I have successfully returned to yoga and other things I love without embarrassment!
So glad I took the leap to try it and thankful for this special medical practice and their knowledgeable and kind therapists!
Gail has given me the tools to fight for my health. I am a young man who was diagnosed by multiple urologists with chronic prostatitis.
After taking many month-long courses of antibiotics and not seeing much improvement, I knew it was time to pursue alternative treatment options.
I can safely say the world-class care I received at Pelvic Health Solutions has changed my life. The road to healing is not linear and having a compassionate “coach” to guide you through the rough patches is honestly one of the biggest benefits of coming here.
No one wants to have or even talk about issues “down there”, but I firmly urge any man struggling with their pelvic floor health to seek treatment and start your healing journey.
I am an MD with subspecialty board certification. I had a robotic surgical radical prostatectomy (complete removal of my prostate due to very early low grade prostate cancer).
Any surgeon’s office that does a substantial amount of prostate surgery will emphasize the enormous importance of doing pre-op and post-op pelvic floor rehabilitation.
I was operated on November 2017 and I had the usual and anticipated incontinence and erectile dysfunction (ED). I was prepared by the surgeon and his staff to expect this during the first year.
Post operatively Gail worked with me and made me realize the variety of ways the pelvic floor muscles move and constrict in order to control bodily functions we of course all take for granted. The anatomy “down there” is really complicated and once you understand this it really helps with your recovery.
I followed her instructions over the next several months postoperatively and my incontinence as a result was short lived. The incontinence is almost always correctable with well-done pelvic floor therapy. — Dr. B. FL

I have a long history of endometriosis to include laparoscopic surgery, IVF and C-section. At my annual checkup earlier this year my ob-gyn referred me for pelvic floor physical therapy.
I am a physical therapist and have practiced outpatient orthopedics for many years but definitely needed the help of a skilled provider.
Many women suffer with pain, bowel or bladder problems and don’t realize that pelvic floor physical therapy can help. Gaining a sense of control over a frustrating and often times debilitating condition is life changing.

I went in for urge incontinence, which had come on unexpectedly. Over five sessions, I gained not only techniques like hypopressive breathing and tibial nerve stimulation, but also a deeper understanding of my body. I wouldn’t say I’m “cured,” but I’m more in control and no longer feel powerless. That alone makes it worth it. The care was individualized, there was no rush, and I always felt seen. Cash-pay wasn’t a deterrent—I actually felt it was a good value because I received real, quality care from a skilled therapist, not a rushed session with a tech
If a friend were struggling with similar issues, I’d absolutely tell them it’s worth the investment. The knowledge alone is powerful, and you won’t find this kind of care in the traditional system.< Three words to describe PHS: Surprised, informed, satisfied.
“My Urologist had been urging me to try Pelvic PT to help me have a more sensible life. I had never heard of PT for the pelvic area, but my situation was interfering with the quality of my life.
The team at Pelvic Health Solutions are professionals who understand the challenges of erratic urinary problems and my therapist was outstanding with her knowledge, patience with me, and encouragement as I progressed.
I highly recommend Pelvic Health Solutions.”
– B.M.
“I was advised to start pelvic floor physical therapy prior to my prostatectomy. I did this for 2 months prior to surgery – and my recovery from surgery could not have been better.
I had no incontinence and minimal sexual function changes. The exercises took minimal time and effort, yet I’m convinced they made all the difference to my rapid surgical recovery.
I can not imagine recovering as well as I did without Pelvic Health Solutions.”

“As a physician who practiced for more than 40 years, I often had female patients with urinary incontinence and male patients post prostatectomy.
It wasn’t until I underwent the prostatectomy myself that I understood the importance of pelvic floor therapists and the importance of doing the exercises correctly.
I was able to regain continence after only 6 weeks post op and the exercises were helpful from a sexual standpoint as well. I would recommend men who are undergoing prostatectomy to begin seeing you one month before the procedure to start therapy.
If any of your male patients would like to talk to me about my experience I would be glad to help. Thank you again for your superb care.”
